We cannot thank everyone enough for not only coming out to our Two Year Anniversary group exhibition this past weekend, but for the overall support we've had these past two years. Gallery is excited to announce the opening reception of “Muscle Memory” a group exhibition featuring new works of Alexandra Levasseur, Kate Klingbeil, Lynnea Holland-Weiss, and Winnie Truong on April 15th at 7pm. The exhibition will feature all new works by each artist ranging from paintings on canvas, framed paper cutouts, ceramic sculptures, and works on framed wood panels. This past weekend we visited the studio of Oakland based artist Lynnea Holland-Weiss as she prepares a new series of paintings for "Muscle Memory" opening April 15th at Athen B. Gallery. Athen B. Gallery is excited to announce that we just started a project series of 4 walls with the city of San Leandro, CA. First up was Oakland Artist Kelly Ording. The mural is compiled of 5 different reds that break apart the bright blue background. The mural itself brings a lot of life into a neighborhood that lacks color.
Athen B. Gallery is excited to announce “Nobody, Everybody” a duo exhibition featuring the new works of Chicago’s Laura Berger and Oakland’s Sarah Bowser. This exhibition is compiled of paintings on panels, free standing ceramic sculptures, paper-cut/collages and paper sculptures.

Mayor Pauline Russo Cutter and the San Leandro City Council invite the community to a dedication ceremony and celebration of the City’s Mural Art Project on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 5:30 P.M. at 21st Amendment Brewery located at 2010 Williams Street. The City of San Leandro partnered with art consultant Athen B. Gallery to curate and install vibrant and relevant artwork on three highly impactful locations across the city. The event will feature a discussion with the artists, light refreshments, and a dedication ceremony at 6:00 P.M. Members of the public are invited to attend this exciting event. Check out Pastel lastest mural located in Barrio Flores, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Mixed with different architectures (art decó, art nouveau and modern buildings) at the beginning, is a big example of the argentinian eclecticism. After decades without urban plannings, today in Bajo Flores is the biggest slum in BA. Learn more after the jump.
