Last week we had the pleasure of visiting with Erik Otto and Muzae Sesay at their San Francisco studios in anticipation for “New Radius”. They will be showing alongside San Francisco's Chad Hasegawa and the cities favorite step child, Mark Warren Jacques, whom make up the impressive group of abstractionists to create a "New Radius".
Erik Otto's studio is located in the heart of San Francisco's Mission district and has been making art in SF for a decade now. The studio walls were littered with his new body of work, some completed, some not. Throughout our time visiting Erik would causally put another piece on the wall and take other down, so he could add a little something to each. This is Erik's second time showing at Athen B. Gallery, his first being a collaborative piece with Mark Warren Jacques for our "colab" group exhibition this past October.
Come see Erik Otto, Chad Hasegawa, Mark Warren Jacques and Muzae Sesay new bodies of work in person for "New Radius" this Saturday, July 9th at 7pm in Downtown Oakland. For more about the artists and the exhibition read our press release.
